Xperium

The chance to get a glimpse of the Northern lights is one of Norway's biggest tourist attractions. Expology was commissioned to develop a new shopping experience for Norway House, giving visitors an opportunity to experience the Northern Lights right in the middle of Oslo, any time of year.

The Xperium is a mixture of immersive animation and film, which tells the story of the Northern Lights. From the science of its creation, through journeying through spectacular Norwegian landscapes, and finally arriving at the Northern Lights themselves. The experience is designed to give visitors a first-hand feeling for what it might be like to witness the Northern Lights in person.

Expology was pleased to collaborate with film maker Simen Haughorn, and Pål Brekke – an internationally well-known expert in Northern Lights. The CGI animation was done by Novaline Group. Expology had the role of project management, programming and design.
